We conducted a workshop 'Customer Engagement - Everything you wanted to know'. Mr. Rakesh Gopinathan, Founder, Wowrakesh Academy, Chennai was the speaker at the programme. He described the various stages of customer journey. He spoke about how customer mindsets and expectations have changed over time. A great customer engagement plan begins with effective communication. A brand creation that a customer can relate to is also important. The values and ethics that the brand displays helps connect deeply with the customers. Periodical reminders to the customer about offers, newsletters etc. will also keep them engaged. Mr. Rakesh added that customer retention is more cost effective than customer acquisition. One should be aware of customer needs, requirement and wants. Identifying the right social media platforms for your business, effective storytelling through videos can also increase the engagement levels of customers. Each customer is unique and would require a personalized engagement strategy. Participants included Sales & marketing professionals, CXOs and startups. This was also an opportunity for the participants to interact and clear their queries with the speaker.
